When we moved to New England the end of last summer, I did not get to experience all the great places the area has to offer. I was busy unpacking and getting the kids off to their new schools that a mini getaway or vacation was not in the cards. However, this summer I want to experience some great spots in New England as well as enjoy my house and little town that sits on the water.
Here’s what I’d like to cross of my summer list:
I had the most delicious lobster roll doused with brown butter and herbs at Eventide in Portland, Maine and I want replicate the version to make at home.
Play hooky and spend a day chowing on lobster rolls at Gooseberry beach surrounded by stunning mansions.
Eat as much fresh local oysters as I can — this place grows their own.
I am heading back to you NYC for a quick 48 hours and plan on getting a 15-minute laser treatment that yields glowing skin.
Plant a variety of fresh herbs in my backyard.
Get out on the water more and start paddleboarding on Narragansett Bay.
Catch some wind and learn to sail at my local yacht club.
