I still have lots to do for Casa Ignall. We hit some minor setbacks while ordering some big furniture pieces for the house, and then I threw in the towel with the holidays, traveling and the amount of work that still needs to be done. However, I’m now more focused and calmer (I think) about getting the house in order. I wanted things to happen rather quickly, but I’m learning that it takes time and it’s okay to do it slowly, room by room.
One thing I can work on is getting some new rugs to cover our hardwood floors. I’ve been pouring over pinterest and the web for months looking for the perfect rugs for a few of the rooms in the house—hallway, family room, dining. I made some choices, and then changed my mind a few times (of course), but I’m still leaning towards some rugs that are featured below. Here are some of my favorites that will elevate any space:
I love a colorful vintage-looking rug, but they can be costly and tricky when it comes to finding the right one for your space. One like this is a modern twist on a vintage rug that will add some pop to just about any room.
A bit distressed, but with color and pattern that would work well in a neutral room. I like this for a living room or under the dining room table as seen in this picture.
I’m a big fan of a Moroccan rug with a geometric pattern like this, which will look great in a bedroom, den or living room.
I absolutely love this room. There is not much color here, and the black and white striped rug ties the whole look together. One like this could work in any room with neutral hues.
This colorful, bohemian double diamond rug comes in a variety of sizes for the hallway, entryway, kids room or living space—plus it’s not crazy expensive.
