As the season’s change, I get excited about shopping for new beauty products. This time, I purchased items that I really needed (a new makeup remover) and also splurged on a refreshing, botanical body wash that makes taking a shower in my new home so much better. Here’s what I bought for fall:
Oribe Foundation Mist — A few stylists suggested that I use this hair primer to prep my hair for styling. It detangles, adds shine, prevents static and protects from heat styling without leaving any heaviness or stickiness. I also find my hair looks better for a longer period of time and I don’t need to load up on dry shampoo on day two and three as much (score). I use a few spritzes on wet hair, but it also can be used on dry hair to refresh a style.
Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover — Sephora’s makeup remover is affordable and works really well. It doesn’t irritate my eyes and takes off waterproof eye makeup. Plus, I heard makeup artists load up on it during fashion week and always have it in their kits to remove stubborn makeup.
Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara — This new drugstore mascara features a rubber brush with cup-shaped bristles to lift and define. It goes on a little heavy, but if you wipe it off first it gives a nice eye-opening effect and doesn’t flake throughout the day.
Aēsop Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser — I am obsessed with this brand’s hand wash and lotion, and once I smelled their body wash I knew I had to have it. It’s pricey, and I was perfectly fine using Dove Body Wash on a daily basis, but this body cleanser blows it away. One or two pumps is all you need and it smells as if I’m at a dreamy luxe spa.
