The past few weeks have been hectic. I moved to a different state, which still doesn’t feel real, and spent my days unpacking and entertaining my kids so they would adjust to our new home seamlessly.
Sleep has been spotty and I’ve been neglecting my beauty routine—my skin is dry and needs a major moisture reboot. I found that deep hydrating masks were the only way to help refresh my tired, dry skin. These face quenchers contain super-moisturizing ingredients and antioxidants that penetrate fast and deep into parched skin without feeling heavy or greasy.
Here are three masks I’m loving right now for end of the summer:
I pretty much shun overnight beauty products unless it’s a prescription retinol, but this overnight mask was a welcoming surprise. It has a thick yogurt-like texture, and within minutes of applying absorbs nicely into the skin. It contains nourishing fig, honey extract and omega-rich Cupuaçu butter as well as shea butter, probiotics and rosemary extract. I apply this to my face (I skip my nose) and décolleté at night and in the morning I have dewy, soft skin, which lasts for days.
I like how in 10 to 15 minutes my skin felt soft and hydrated, so it’s great for when I don’t have much time, but still want an extra moisture boost. Hyaluronic acid and blue ginger infuse moisture and plump the skin while peptides and macadamia nut oil protect and hydrate. I like to apply this to my face and neck, but also find myself applying to the top of my hands for 10 to 15 minutes for added hydration (you must try it). Skin never feels greasy and is left soft and moisturized.
This mask not only moisturizes, but calms the skin with good-for-you ingredients such as nourishing shea butter, arnica, marigold, ivy leaf and alpha lipoic acid. I like to use this after spending a few days out in the sun or when skin feels irritated and looks a little inflamed. It has a nice smell and instantly feels refreshing when on the skin. Vitamins and antioxidants blend with antibacterial properties so it helps calm redness and breakouts, too.
