I usually lean towards hairstyles where you can pretty much roll out of bed without doing much. This winter, I cut my hair shorter and did the trendy lob. I loved it. The cut was fresh, stylish and took months to grow out (a plus in my book). Since it’s summer, my hair has been up in a bun or ponytail, and it was not so obvious that I needed a good mid-summer cut. Last week, I went to see Coby Alcantar at Little Axe Salon, who is a whiz with scissors and gives unique cuts with tons of shape while looking effortless. Instead of going for a shorter lob, I went for a longer cut that grazes just below my collarbone. I can still wear it up in a bun or ponytail and wear it down without having to do much.
My hair is shorter in the back and slightly longer in the front with lots of texture. Plus, this cut will last for a few months and grow out nicely. I know people tend to keep hair longer in the summer, but this is the perfect in between and a great way to ease into fall.
