Back in junior high and high school I was a fan of Sea Breeze toner (who wasn’t?), but once I headed off to college I got hooked on good old-fashioned witch hazel and used it as my toner. It kept my combination skin in check and helped keep breakouts at bay. I stopped using it for years because I was trying fancy toners with active ingredients and then not using any toner at all. But at a recent drugstore visit, I stumbled upon Dickinson’s Witch Hazel Cloths, which cleanse and tone skin with witch hazel and aloe vera. They also remove makeup without any irritation and leave skin feeling clean and fresh. I’ve been using them at the end of the day to take off my makeup, and I like to stash them in my bag to use before and after the gym (as you can see from the scrunched up packaging in the picture). These cloths will be with me on my upcoming trips and are perfect for summer days at the beach, humid days in the city and great for when I need to freshen up before going out for dinner. It smells like pure witch hazel so if you are not into that, pick up something more fragrant. Dickinson’s Cleansing Cloths $6.99.
