Over the years I’ve mostly let brow specialists tend to my overgrown brows, where they would tweeze, wax, thread and trim hairs creating the ideal shape. Now that bolder brows are in, I’ve been spacing out my professional brow shaping and letting my anchovy-looking brows really grow in. I’ve always been intrigued with over-the-counter enhancing serums, but doubted their success. This past winter, I was introduced to two brow enhancing products: RevitaBrow Advanced and the RevitaLash Hi-Def Tinted Brow Gel. These products have been around for a while now, but incorporating both into my daily routine has made a huge impact on my boring brows.
RevitaBrow Advanced is a concentrated serum that you apply once a day. It contains brow conditioners and growth boosters such as a BioPeptin Complex, containing biotin, green tea and lipids, as well as calendula and plant extracts Swertia Japonica and Panax Ginseng, which are high in anti-oxidants and vitamins. The ingredients work together to condition hairs making them stronger and less prone to breakage. I apply the serum after I cleanse at night and really work the product into the hair on my brows. I’ve been using it for a couple of nights a week on and off for two months and notice my brows much fuller, thicker and healthier.
The RevitaLash Hi-Def Tinted Brow Gel contains conditioners and enhancers such as peptides and oat beta glucan and a mineral tint formula that is buildable—not too creamy and not too dry—and never smudges. I like how there’s a brush and comb to work in the product and make sure the shape looks natural and feathery. It’s the only brow gel I’ve found that is easy to apply and looks natural. For bolder brows this duo can’t be beat.
